How to maintain motorcycle lithium batteries?

1. Don't let the battery run out of power for a long time

If you don't use the car for a long time, the battery is exhausted, and you don't charge it, it is easy to damage.

Maintenance suggestions:

If you don't drive the motorcycle for more than a month, remember to fully charge it in advance.

It is best to start it every 2-3 weeks, or charge it, and don't let the battery be empty.

2. Don't overcharge and discharge

Although lithium batteries are durable, it is not good to often let the battery run out of power before charging, or to keep plugging it in and charging without unplugging it.

Maintenance suggestions:

It is recommended to start charging when the power is less than 20%.

Unplug it when it is fully charged (100%), don't keep it plugged in.

3. Pay special attention to heat preservation in winter

Lithium batteries are afraid of cold, and their performance will decrease when the temperature is low, and it may even be difficult to start.

Maintenance suggestions:

Try to park the motorcycle or battery indoors or in the garage in winter.

Before starting the car, you can preheat it in advance, and don't step on the start button violently.

4. Avoid exposure to the sun and high temperatures

High temperatures will accelerate the aging of lithium batteries, especially in the summer, which can easily cause battery problems.

Maintenance suggestions:

Don't leave your motorcycle in the hot sun for too long in the summer.

When charging the battery, place it in a ventilated and cool place, not too hot.

5. Check the battery status regularly

Sometimes a dead battery does not necessarily mean it is broken, it may be that the wiring is loose or there is poor contact elsewhere.

Maintenance suggestions:

Occasionally, you can ask the repairman to check whether the battery interface and line are stable.

Some lithium batteries have a power indicator light, and you can also check if there is any abnormality yourself.
