Drones are becoming more and more popular. Whether it is for taking photos, aerial photography or leisure and entertainment, they can bring a lot of fun. One of the most critical parts of a drone is the battery. If the battery is not stored properly, it will not only shorten its life, but may also pose a safety hazard.
Here are some simple tips to help you extend the life of the battery and ensure flight safety.
1. Avoid overcharging or undercharging
Keeping the battery fully charged or undercharging for a long time will damage the battery. The most suitable storage power is between 40% and 60%. After flying, if you do not plan to fly again in the short term, remember to charge (or discharge) the battery to this range.

2. Storage environment
The battery is most afraid of high temperature, humidity and direct sunlight. Please pay attention to the following points when storing:
The temperature should be controlled between 15°C and 25°C
Avoid direct sunlight
Do not place in the car, near the heater or by the window
Keep dry to avoid moisture and mold
3. Use a special battery fireproof bag or storage box
For safety reasons, it is recommended to use a battery fireproof bag or fire-resistant storage box to store the drone battery.
4. Check the battery status regularly
Even if the drone battery is not used for a long time, check the power every 3 months and recharge it if necessary. Also check for bulging, deformation or leakage. If there is any abnormality, stop using it immediately.
5. Cool before storage
The temperature of the battery that has just flown is usually high. Do not charge or store it immediately. Be sure to wait until the battery is completely cooled before handling it to avoid internal damage.
Storing the drone battery through the above steps can greatly extend the battery life.
