1. What are the commonly used batteries for drones?
Currently, most drones on the market use the following two types of batteries:
Lithium polymer battery (Li-Po)
Light, high energy density
Strong discharge capacity, suitable for aerial photography and racing drones
The price is slightly higher, but the most widely used
Lithium ion battery (Li-ion)
Relatively long flight time
Good stability, longer cycle life
Slightly heavier than Li-Po, slightly weaker instantaneous discharge capacity
Simple understanding:
If you want to fly for a long time, choose lithium ion battery;
If you want strong power, choose lithium polymer battery.

2. Which one is more durable?
If "durable" means long life, then lithium ion battery is better and has more cycle charge and discharge times.
If "durable" means durable and can withstand high current, then lithium polymer battery performs better.
So, you need to choose according to your usage scenario:
Daily aerial photography, recreational flight: lithium ion battery is more suitable.
Racing, professional shooting, heavy load: lithium polymer battery is more reliable.
3. How to make the battery more durable?
No matter what kind of battery you use, maintenance is the key:
Don't overcharge: unplug it when it is 100% charged, and don't leave it plugged in for a long time.
Don't over discharge: return to the airport to charge when the battery is less than 20%.
Don't expose it to high temperatures: especially in summer, don't leave it directly in the car or in the sun after flying.
Charge regularly: charge and discharge the battery once a month for a long-term use to keep it active.
